Assessment Centres

Assessing talent is always difficult. We have recruited to senior positions for over 10 years and believe our Assessment Centre methodology delivers excellent results.

We build an accurate and rounded picture of a candidate’s knowledge, skills and experiences through a variety of approaches which give candidates the opportunity to show how they will behave in a job. Each test is tailored to the organisation’s particular needs. Our methodologies include:

  • in-tray exercises
  • group exercises
  • structured interviews
  • critical incident simulations
  • role-playing exercises
  • presentations
  • written exercises
  • psychometric tests.

We understand the importance of member and stakeholder participation where appropriate, and encourage elected member attendance at the assessment centres which include:

  • a young persons’ panel
  • involvement of stakeholder or partner organisations
  • discussions with future colleagues
  • member involvement at an early stage
  • one to one with the leader and chief executive.
