SOLACE Enterprises has created a new, flexible and innovative ‘Total Support’ package for all councillors, however experienced. Total Support is designed to give councils a complete solution to councillor development and to give councillors insight into all aspects of their role and the skills to tackle all the challenges they will face. It is easy to use, very effective and inexpensive. There are 3 levels of support and the package can be tailored to individual needs.

From all of our experience of working with councils and councillors we know how important it is for councillors to feel confident about their duties and responsibilities. Councillors have many roles - working within their councils and within their communities - which need to be managed alongside their jobs, their families and frequently other public service duties.

  Foundation Level
This uses the award-winning flexible distance learning approach and is designed to provide a refresher for experienced councillors to check that their knowledge is up to date or to provide a sound introduction to council work for new councillors.

  Intermediate Level
Through an integrated programme of seminars and workshops we will help you develop the skills to fulfil your role more effectively providing you with a greater awareness and understanding of council work. Using real case studies and practical activities you can test your skills and learn new approaches.

  Advanced Level
This level concentrates on delivering bespoke solutions for experienced councillors and those in key positions. Using master classes and a wide range of personal development techniques this level will provide tailored support for individual councillors.
