Ever sat in your office and wondered what to do next or been uncertain about how to tackle a particularly difficult problem?

You are not alone. And, if you join a SOLACE Enterprises’ learning set, you will not only see how many other people have the same concerns, but also be able to see how they tackle them and what they have learnt from their experiences. Taking part will give you the opportunity to find ways to deal with the issues and dilemmas you face in your role and to learn more about yourself as a manager and a person.

Our action learning sets are a transformative way of achieving personal development by discussing issues with others in a similar position. A set normally comprises six to nine peers who meet for a day every two to three months and include:

  • peers within the local government community
  • peers from across the wider public service
  • peers who work as local government partners
  • chief executive only sets
  • sets for corporate, strategic, executive or policy directors
  • women-only sets
